Your own sensors, the public sensor network, and eight live fire and weather overlays — satellite hotspots, incident perimeters, Red Flag, radar, lightning, wind — on one shared command map. Built for a tablet in the field, and it keeps working when the signal doesn't.

How it works
  1. Sign in and see

    Create your account

Free account, live map. Public sensor feeds, weather, red flag conditions and active-fire perimeters are there before you own any hardware.

  2. Add your ground truth

    Buy an ANEMOS

Pair ANEMOS stations over Bluetooth — tripod, vehicle mount, or fixed. Wind, temperature, humidity and air quality stream in from where you actually are.

  3. Run the incident

Drop pins, draw lines and zones on the command map. Set thresholds, get warning / critical / emergency alerts, export the record afterward.

Same account on the browser, tablet and truck-cab display. Captured on the RidgeOps web portal.

Live ANEMOS sensor network on the map

Sensor network

The part nobody else has. Your Bonny Doon Labs ANEMOS stations stream wind, temperature, humidity and AQI from the exact ridge you care about — each one a single glyph on the map, clustered at range and exact at zoom. Add the public network and you are reading terrain no forecast model resolves.

Manual field readings on the shared map

Manual field readings

No sensor on that slope? Drop a pin and log it by hand — belt weather kit, fuel stick, psychrometer, wind or visual. Same map, same record, and it queues offline until you have signal.

Command map with pins, lines and zones shared across an org

Command tools

Draw the incident: pins, lines and zones for firelines, dozer guards, safety zones and plumes — shared across your org in real time, with roles, invitations and cross-org sharing behind them.

Fire-weather indices

The numbers you'd otherwise work out by hand.

Probability of Ignition, Fine Dead Fuel Moisture and Burning Index — computed on device.

Measured and estimated never blur.

An index computed from instruments you actually read is labelled differently from one estimated off a public grid. You can always see which you are looking at, and what it was derived from.

Free with any account: the estimated overlays, and indices from your own field readings. Pro adds your whole org's readings, plus export and API.

Decision support, not a replacement for your own assessment. Accuracy depends on placement, calibration, and how well the mapped fuel model matches what is on the ground. How this is calculated →

Overlays

Eight public feeds, one map.

The software stands alone.
ANEMOS gives it ground truth.

A self-contained wind, temperature, humidity and air-quality station that goes up on a tripod or a vehicle mount in minutes, and streams straight to the tablet in your hand.

Buying for a department?

Per-seat store billing is not how agencies buy. Talk to us about an org licence — one invoice, purchase order, and seats managed centrally.

The 2020 CZU Lightning Complex fire burning on the ridge behind a house
After the 2020 CZU Lightning Complex.
Why I built this

Twenty homes burned within a mile of mine in the Bonny Doon mountains.

The 2020 CZU Lightning Complex came within ten feet of my house. Living up here, wildfire is a recurring danger — but that one was the wake-up call.

So I talked to local fire chiefs about their processes and their needs. What came through was the tediousness of gathering the data they needed and getting it into a usable format for planning. Bonny Doon Labs was born out of those conversations, and RidgeOps is the result.

We aim to help firefighters fight fires safer.
